With a name like Black Cloister and bier that is German Parliament approved, of course we are throwing an Oktoberfest party! Put on your best dirndl or lederhosen and join us on October 7th for a day food, music, and, of course LOTS of bier.
Don’t like beer? Well, you must not be German, but you are welcommen anyway! We will have fantastic German wines and liquor, including a Jagermeister shot luge.
We are closing down Monroe Street in front of our building and erecting our Oktoberfest tent for the day. We will have the fantastic food of the Black Forest Cafe as well as our own Flammkuchen, a pizza from the southern Alsatian region of Germany. While your enjoying this fantastic food, listen to the music of the Route 161 Happy Wanderers and the Happy Times Polka Band. We will also have the German American Fest dancers and the Live Glockenspiel. Our brewpub will be open, too, wih all our fantastic beers, Oktoberfest music, and great food.

Entry into our heated tent is just $5, but if you want to bypass the lines buy one of our limited Oktoberfest T-shirts for $20. Wear it on October 7 and it is your fast pass into Oktoberfest. You will have your own VIP entry. Also, after Oktoberfest, whenever you wear your shirt to the Black Cloister Brewpub over the next year, you will get 10% off your food order! These shirts can be purchased at Black Cloister Brewing Company starting Tuesday, August 29.
