The ORDER of the Black Cloister is made up of those who have joined the community of “believers”. We believe in local, craft beer. We believe in the vision of “Great beer with a great purpose.” As an ORDER Member you will join a special community of the Black Cloister Brewing Company that has exclusive benefits.
A custom button-up, collared brewer’s shirt. These shirts are exclusive to Order members and are not for sale to the public! These shirts feature a large Black Cloister Shield on the back with our logo embroidered above the left front pocket. Original ORDER Members will be recognized with their shield emblazoned in gold. All ORDER members will have an ORDER membership patch over the right front pocket.
We have ordered a large quantity of matching glassware for your exclusive use while joining us at the brewery! No more remembering to bring your mug or some elaborate wall of hundreds of glasses! In order to drink from a clean ORDER MEMBER SENSORIK glass (described below) we will place your coin up on display behind the bar until you are ready to leave (The coins are individually laser engraved by member number so we know you are here as a part of the Order.
Priority reservations to all official Black Cloister tastings, food-pairing events, and, release parties. Black Cloister events (where ORDER Members will receive priority) are going to be scheduled at least once per quarter this year! Many events will feature substantial discounts for members of The Order.
A 15% discount on any merchandise purchase.
The Wittenburg Room is a unique, private space providing service to parties of 20 or less. Reservation of the Wittenburg Room to enjoy drinking Black Cloister beers with a group on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday requires a $50 reservation fee. Normally this is a non-refundable fee, but for Order of the Cloister members who show up for their scheduled reservation, the fee is refunded.
An exclusive, Order of the Black Cloister member’s only anniversary celebration where you will be given the opportunity to sample some special beers and provide input to help us make this group even BETTER!
Access to the Order of the Black Cloister-members only Facebook group/ email list, where you will get early bird information about upcoming events, releases, beers coming on tap, and exclusive information on what’s going on inside Black Cloister Brewing Company. These communications will foster you becoming part of the Black Cloister community.
Our new Order challenge coins feature a matte gold and silver metal finish with black background and scalloped edges. These challenge coins are individually laser engraved by member number to demonstrate your membership in the ORDER at the brewery and at special off-premise events throughout the year. The coin is artfully designed with raised gold metal embossing of the ORDER coat of arms and gold metal scalloped edging. As a bonus, the coin will also have a bottle opener incorporated into the design and a hole for it to fit on a key chain if you wish. We encourage you as an ORDER member to carry the challenge coin at all times (see Rules of the Order)
0.5 liter SAHM SENSORIK glass. We will provide you with a glass when you present your Challenge Coin at the brewpub. When you return your glass, we will return your challenge coin. Upon purchasing your membership, you will also get to take one home so you can enjoy with your favorite Black Cloister beer from premium glassware! This glass, which was created by our friends at SAHM in cooperation with world champion sommelier, Markus Del Monego! Black Cloister will proudly be the first company in the U.S. to be able to provide the 0.5L version of this glass and it will be available only for our ORDER members!!! This glass is not only beautifully designed and emblazoned with our Order of the Cloister Coat of Arms, but also designed as a cross-platform glass that won the International Red Dot design award by a panel of 37 judges who considered 4662 entries from 54 countries!!!
A Display 3 liter version of this glass will be a prominent feature inside the brewery, and will be specially illuminated when we hang your challenge coin, signifying a member of the Order is present in the brewpub! Look for the light when you come by to meet and greet fellow ORDER MEMBERS!
As a new benefit, ORDER Members will periodically have at least a 24-hour opportunity to taste new Black Cloister Brewing Company beer releases prior to going on tap to the general public. We will communicate these opportunities for a pre-release as many times as possible.
As new food menu items arrive, a 10% discount for ORDER members.
Cost= $100 annually (tax included), a reduction from last year! Membership term expires September 19, 2017.
